Hope Away From Home

This fundraising film, directed, produced, and edited by Gabe Gentry, was created for the 20th Century Club of Little Rock’s annual Hope Ball, helping to break the organization’s fundraising record that year. The video highlights the vital work of the 20th Century Club’s Lodge, which provides no-cost housing, meals, and a compassionate community for cancer patients undergoing treatment in Little Rock. Through intimate storytelling and heartfelt testimonials, the film underscores the impact of hope, dignity, and support at a time when patients need it most.

Marc and Matt Smith

Blue Ribbon Award

The Blue Ribbon Award, presented by Children's Advocacy Centers of Arkansas, recognizes individuals who have overcome trauma from child abuse and now advocate for prevention. This award is presented at the Inspiration Gala, an annual event that raises funds for the organization. Thanks to leadership of the Smiths, a barrier to the pursuit of justice on behalf of victims of childhood sexual abuse in Arkansas has now been removed.

The Bobby Roberts

Photo Fund

The Butler Center for Arkansas Studies, along with the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Center for Arkansas History and Culture, cares for and makes accessible to the public more than 10 million documents and photographs on Arkansas history. Booby Roberts started the Butler Center for Arkansas Studies, the archival and genealogy division of the Central Arkansas Library System. In 2009, UA Little Rock and CALS partnered to create the Arkansas Studies Institute, where both of their archival and special collections divisions were placed.

Elizabeth Clogston, Former Executive Director, 20th Century Club of Little Rock

“Gabe’s video was a turning point for us. It captured the heart of our mission with such clarity and emotion that it moved the room—and the results spoke for themselves. That year’s Hope Ball broke all previous fundraising records.”
